About
Hello, my name is Jon Balun.
I have a Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary and have been ministering for almost ten years as a Singles Pastor, chaplain, and writer.
I noticed when I searched for commentary on a particular passage of Scripture, I would often find little information of value. Most of the content was out-dated or incomplete. Rather than write a blog whining about this sad state of affairs, I set about to create a Biblepedia of my own.
I have thoroughly researched each post and meditated on each passage to hear what God has to say about it today. I hope to make this blog a reference point for serious scholars and seekers of God who want to know what His word says and/or might be saying to them personally today.
If you have any questions, comments, unpaid invoices, uninterpreted dreams, or wish to contact me for speaking engagements or blog requests, please email me at jonathanbalun@yahoo.com
Jon,
A friend of mine is struggling with the question “Doesn’t God just want me to be happy?” – how would you respond to that?
Jon,
I just received this in an email. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the NIV 2011 version.

God bless you Jon. God led me to this post as I was looking for clarity about the “hypernikao” as it pertains to our Christian standing with this “Conqueror” identity. The responsibility is huge and I trust in the Spirit of Christ in me as I study, study study. Thank you for your service brother.
Jon your work on your blog is truly inspirational.
I have nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award.
For more information you can see the link below.
Stay in the race!
